This lovely antique gold filled locket has scrolling floral design along the top and what was sold to me as a genuine faceted garnet stone in the center. Since the stone has not been tested, I am going to sell it as garnet colored paste. The locket opens downward to reveal two places to insert a photo. The top portion has a removable frame to tuck a photo behind, the bottom has a ledge in the metal that would also work. The locket is suspended from an antique style, gold filled Albert chain clasp and the necklace is completely handmade.  Using gold filled wire, baroque pearls, garnets, and pink topaz were wire wrapped to create this one of a kind necklace. Beautiful on it's own, it also looks fantastic layered with other necklaces in the shop.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Please note that this locket is antique and in pre-loved  condition. I see a few scuffs and scratches on the front extending out from where the stone is inset. There are some nicks around that area as well which is visible when you study the locket surface in a reflection. When you look at it straight on, it looks a bit duller in that area. A few surface scratches and nicks on the smooth back of the locket as well.

The gold fill is in excellent antique condition with a warm gold tone.
