An attractive antique, Victorian sterling silver mounted shilling brooch.
Also known as the lovers knot, it features a double loop and bar shape which has light engraving to the front.
It is made up from a Victorian silver shilling coin that has been mounted in a sterling silver mount.
The mount is a circular shape with a stepped geometric design and beading around the outer rim.
The mount is fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham assay office 1890,the coin is dated 1887.
Condition: Fair used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, there are naturally occurring air holes in the beading, surface wear.
