DATE: Victorian, c.1880

A sublime antique robin's egg blue enamel locket with pearl-set star motif to the centre. It's enamelled on both the front and back (also the bail), and remains in near perfect condition. I initially thought it was French, but the marks inside confirm its origins in the Austro-Hungarian empire - circa 1880. Modelled in silver, with gilt innards and such a vibrant/striking aesthetic.
