Fabulous pair of 1930s Bakelite dress clips in a deep dark forest green. The clips are deeply carved in a sinuous slinky geometric design iconic of the Art Deco era. The clips have hinged steel fasteners on the back that have teeth to grip to fabric.

These jazz baby beauties are a matched pair in that they are not identical to each other. One clip is a little smaller and they have slightly different fasteners on the back but they work well together and the difference isn't particularly noticeable when they are worn.

The clips are in great vintage condition with light wear in keeping with age, the steel fasteners are in good working order and hold securely. Photo number 7 shows "streaking" on the back of one clip which isn't really there, it's just reflected light cast by the shiny surface of the Bakelite.

MARKS: one clip fastener is stamped 'Made In USA" and the other "1801128". This number is the utility patent issued for the fastener and it was registered with the US patent office in 1931
